Waterworlds in Himalaya

Himalaya, 1 September 2011, The Mountain Institute (TMI)

Hello Imja Lake Expedition participants!

The start of the expedition is quickly approaching, and we wanted to quickly update you on what TMI will be be doing while you're hiking.
For the first time ever, we're planning on live-blogging every step of the journey, using some very fancy communications equipment designed to be used in remote locations.
Members of the team will be sending home almost daily updates with photos and stories of the trek's progress.

We're hoping to have a legion of fans around the world following the expedition and learning about climate change and glacial lakes.
You'll be able to find the blog here: http://mountain.org/about-us/photo-blogs/

As we get daily blog posts from members of the expedition, we'll be posting links to both Facebook and Twitter.
Followers and fans can use either site to watch the expedition unfold, or ask questions of the hikers in real-time. These are the best ways to stay abreast of the expedition:

We thought it would be a good idea to give you these resources before you depart so you can distribute it to others.
Feel free to forward these links to friends, family, coworkers - whoever you wish. W also encourage you to post these links on your personal Facebook and Twitter accounts to keep folks back home in the loop.

Safe and happy travels!
