Mette Fog Olwig

BA in Geography and MA in International Development from Clark University. Research on global warming and natural catastrophes from social science as well as natural science perspectives. Has used remote sensing data to analyze the potential protective effects of woody vegetation against the tsunami in India in 2004 and looked at the social responses through history to technological attempts at controlling the climate.
